James Marsters, who played fan-favorite Spike on “Buffy” and its spin-off “Angel,” has joined the cast of “Caprica,” an upcoming Syfy show that’s a prequel to the recently finished “Battlestar.” Marsters will play a villain named Barnabus Greeley, described as a dangerous and unpredictable terrorist torn by his conflicting moral and carnal desires. The character appears to exist outside of the show’s primary focus, which is on two rival families: the Graystones and the Adamas (headed by Eric Stoltz and Esai Morales, respectively). Considering the actor’s appeal and sizable fanbase, it’s sure to be a major role.

Look, you seem like a nice person and all, but you are very childish.
